We’re in the final stages of wrapping the new GOCR EP that was recorded in my studio. I also shot a quick gonzo video for them so lot’s of fun things happening in the GOCR camp. Congrats to Turn Left Productions on completing its first solo project that began airing last night on HRTV. They worked their ass off on this and I’m proud that JMW Music supplied the music for it.

I’m excited to announce that the vignette I scored for Turn Left Productions “Garrett Gomez 118 Days” just went live on HRTV.com today. The vignette is a teaser for the full documentary that Turn Left is shooting that is going to air in May on HRTV and JMW Music will be contributing score to the documentary. Todd and Jackson from Turn Left gave me a jump-off point to what they were looking for musically and that’s what I used to base the score on.

I must admit that I do not know much about horse racing, but seeing the raw footage from Turn Left made me want to jump right in. HRTV says the vignette is “an unprecedented look at Garrett Gomez as he recovers from a shattered heel and immediately prepares for an attempt at his first Kentucky Derby win.” Garrett seems driven and focused after his injury and this documentary will have you pulling for his recovery. …and the feature documentary will air on HRTV in May. I’ll keep you posted when it’s ready and I’m looking forward to working with Turn Left on this.

Congrats to a great friend, editor/producer Todd Crites & senior producer Jackson Nguyen on forming Turn Left Productions! Big things are headed their way I’m guessing so be sure to keep your eye on them. They have already hit the ground running so be sure to check out their website to see what they are up to.
